Pediatric Dentistry & Early Dental Care
What is pediatric dentistry?
Pediatric dentistry is dental care for children. While the basics are essentially the same as dentistry for adults, children require some special attention and treatments to ensure their smiles develop and grow properly. At Niles Dental, we love caring for children and are happy to provide the services your child needs for a smile that is healthy and strong for life. Good oral health starts with good dental hygiene habits, which should be taught during childhood. We recommend that you teach your child to brush their teeth at least twice each day, floss at least once a day, and maintain a diet with a limited amount of sugary foods. Your child should also visit our office at least once every six months (our dentists may need to recommend a different frequency based on your child’s specific needs).
Does my child need to go to the dentist?
By bringing your child to our office on a regular basis, Dr. Niles and Dr. Niles-Smith can make certain their smiles are healthy and are developing correctly. If needed, we will also provide a basic teeth cleaning and any other treatments they may need for improved dental health.
