Our Response to COVID-19
What we are doing to protect our staff and patients from COVID-19
All clinical staff members are wearing KN95 and surgical masks, face shields, hair coverings, ASEP barrier gowns and scrubs.
Each operatory has a Blueair HEPA filtration unit that filters 280 square feet per minute (each operatory is approximately 100 square feet). This filtration unit is capable of removing 99.97% of viruses and bacteria.
You can see the specs here.
Patients are asked to please wait in their vehicles until their provider is ready to see them. When the provider is ready, each patient will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 and their temperature will be taken.
Patients will be asked to wear a mask whenever they are not receiving direct dental treatment. We ask that only the patient come into our office. Friends and relatives are asked to wait in the car with the exception of those needing translators or those in need of a guardian present.
Hand sanitizer is available for patients when entering and leaving our office. You may also use one of our many sinks with soap. We firmly believe in regular hand washing with soap. However, a hand sanitizer is the next best option.
Once the patient’s mask has been removed and treatment has begun, high volume suction will be utilized to capture respiratory output.
Restorative procedures will be done with an isolite. This device isolates the area and provides an internal suction for saliva and other fluid.
Appointment times have been extended to allow for air purification. Electrolyzed water fogging will also be utilized to purify the air. Operatories will be thoroughly sterilized as we have always done following each patient.
We ask that you please avoid using our rest room. We realize that sometimes, this is impossible. If you must use the restroom, let Jennifer know. After you have used the restroom, it will be thoroughly cleaned.
We do not want you to come in if you do not feel comfortable. We are doing everything that we can to provide you a safe environment in which you can have your dental needs met. Our whole staff is committed to taking every measure to protect your health and ours. Please stay safe and follow guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
